Yin yoga is one of my true loves. It is an amazing practice that can help downregulate the nervous system and help relieve stiffness and pain. The practices focus on ‘stretching’ the connective tissue, especially around the joints. We passively stretch the body for longer periods of time (1-3min) while supporting it by using props as needed. There should be no pain for you in any of these shapes, if so, you need to modify or simply stop.
